Windschott FL

Hallo!

I'm new to this forum and sorry for writing in english but I live in Sweden and my german is not too good!

I have a question about "windschotts" for Z3.

I have a 2001 2,2i Z3 and I want a windschott. I can't find the right one (82159415972) only the pre-facelift one with 75 cm in distance between the pins.

My car has no roll hoops and it is prepared for the windschott.

I bought a 75 cm windschott last week and gave it to a hardware guy that could move/weld the pins 2,5 cm on each side so that the windschott will fit!

BUT! Now I was thinking: is the windschotts (facelift and pre-facelift) the same size/width?? I mean - will this modification work or not? :S

Hello,
the windshoott for your ZZZ (2001) have a breithnes from 70cm NOT 75cm!!
The pre-facelift is not for your car!!!

there are two "Windschotts" for facelift and pre-facelift with different distance.

You need the facelift part with the number 82159415972.

82159407972 Windschott für Vor-Facelift bis 4/99 (75 cm Abstand)

82159415972 Windschott für Facelift ab 4/99 (70 cm Abstand)

Thanks for your quick answers! I know I need the FL windschott but I can't find it. So I bought a "407" one and gave it to a workshop that will move the pins 2,5CM on each side. But will the windschott itself be too wide?
