CoC-Papiere ?

Hello everyone !

I'm really sorry that I don't speak german at all, and I hope some will still be able to help me in english ( I'm french ! ) .

I own a beautiful Bmw z3 2.0 Topasblau that I imported from UK, I did a lot of work on the car and restored it as much as I could !

The problem is that I don't have the Certificat Of conformity ( Übereinstimmungsbescheinigung ) , Getting the Certificat in France is quite long, complicated since they want to check the car and every modification done to it to deliver the paper, and it also cost approximately 170€ .

On french forum, we often hear that, in Germany, you can get the CoC simply by going to the BMW dealer, and pay approximately 50€ to get it, I was always curious to know if it was totally true, and if it was that simple in Germany ?

Thank you very much for your help, And again, I'm really sorry that I can't speak german at all

Bonjour Parera,

I don't know about the 50€, but the parts catalog from a well known german online dealer says ~100€ (you can even buy it directly in french language). But you can only buy it at the dealer showing your papers etc. to verify you are the owner.

So either you pay the 170€ in france, or you make a visit in germany :) But I would clarify it in advance via phone etc...

best regards,

Steffen

Welcome from my side.
Yes in Germany it is possible to get the CoC document via BMW Dealer but only of you can approve with documents that the car is yours. Costs are in a range of 110,-Euro

Thank you very much for both of your answers ! It's really interesting compared to France, Not only for the price but also for the simplicity, I wouldn't mind paying 170€ in France if I could get the paper from the dealer directly in 3-4 days, But it's complicated, and you never know if it's going to take 3 weeks or 3 months !

So I will definitely try and contact a BMW dealer from Germany !

Thanks for your help ! :D

If the dealer start playing ping-pong with you ("no... ask your dealer in france..."), then you could directly contact BMW classic archive people. For sure we all agree the Z3 is a classic car  even if they mention "older than 20 years", not all Z3s have reached that yet ;)

Watch it! The "certificate" you can order by the downloadable form on this site is probably not what you need! It just confirms the delivery details and history of your car...
