I hope you won't find inconvenient that I write in English but my German lectures are pretty far in my memory so I really prefer to explain my problem in a language I speak properly (which is quite exceptionnal for a French anyway ).

Since I'm writing in English, I'll be concise:
I have the fax number (+49 89 3535-1488) of the BMW AG service I should write to in order to obtain my Certificate of Conformity but I would like to write to them in German. That's why I would really appreciate if you could help me with it.

The car is an estorilblau Z3 M Coupé I bought in England but comes from Japan. It's a left hand drive (ie the driving wheel is on the right side ) and shouldn't present any obstacle for the certificate.

Tell me if you want me to present the car

i think it is no problem to write BWM a letter in english.

This is a multinational company, so for them it is not a problem.

Firstly, let me thank you for your answer.

Sending it in English, well...I did ten days ago but didn't receive any answer from them (someone told me it should take 5 days only)
I don't know if they're supposed to answer by FAX (in that case I can't receive it because I used a public FAX), phone, mail or e-mail though.

Thanks Toni. I contacted the Kundenbetreuung by mail two weeks ago and they gave me the FAX number I mentioned in my first post.

- From BMW France, it's 170€, takes over four weeks and they ask a lot of information including the engine serial number (almost impossible to read without removing the air intake and some other stuff), the inscriptions of the VIN plate (great when you know there is no VIN plates on japanese Z3 [yes I checked]) and a certificate of my dealership asserting my car is 100% original (which is fortunately the case). You guess they don't really like when people buy a BMW abroad...
- From BMW AG, it should take few days only and between 50 and 60 euros with no need to fill in a billion of different numbers.

So I can't really complain about the German service
